Kids love celebrating the beginning of a New Year just like everybody else, only they can’t always make it to midnight. That’s why Stone Mountain Park (1000 Robert E. Lee Boulevard in Stone Mountain, GA) is hosting a Kids’ Early New Year’s Eve Celebration. There’s fun to be had all day long at the park, but the official Kids’ Countdown to the New Year will begin at 8:59 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, before a snowfall and fireworks display celebrating the arrival of 2018 gets underway at 9 p.m.
14th Annual Downtown Countdown at Southern Exchange
The adults around Atlanta, GA, have quite a few New Year’s Eve celebrations to choose from, one of which is the 14th Annual Downtown Countdown at Southern Exchange – 200 Peachtree Street NW in Atlanta. Taking place from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., Atlanta’s largest NYE party features free gourmet food, a midnight champagne toast and live music by DJ Suspense.

Another option for adults is the Atlanta NYElectric 2018 Party, taking place from 8:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. at the Westin Peachtree Plaza (210 Peachtree Street NW in Atlanta).
