What is the 2021 Ford Explorer Enthusiast ST?

The 2021 Ford Explorer Enthusiast ST is designed to be a lower-cost alternative to the Ford Performance team’s Explorer ST trim level. It’s still powered by Ford Performance, but a lower MSRP of $48,750 makes it much more accessible to enthusiast drivers who don’t require all the luxury bells and whistles driving up the cost.

Explorer Enthusiast ST vs Explorer ST

The 2021 Ford Explorer Enthusiast ST is every bit as athletic as the Explorer ST, inheriting the same sporty looks and 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 rated at 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. The difference is that the new Explorer Enthusiast ST model skips many of the luxury items included on the original ST model, like power side mirrors, heated second-row seats, and a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system. You’ll still get the leather trim, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and all the Ford CoPilot360 driver assists we love, like automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, and cross-traffic warning.
