What are the Ford Explorer trim levels?

The Explorer offers five trim levels: Explorer, XLT, Limited, ST, and Platinum, as well as a unique Hybrid Limited powertrain option. Each trim level includes all of the technology you’ll need to make family holidays a breeze, as well as perks to make all of your road journeys more enjoyable. Whether you need performance and towing power or comprehensive safety, you can count on the capabilities of this vehicle. The 2021 Ford Explorer has the following trim levels available-

Explorer (base trim)

The Ford Explorer is the name of the base trim level. A 2.3L EcoBoost® I-4 engine with 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque comes standard on this vehicle. When fully equipped, this vehicle’s powertrain amounts to a maximum towing capability of up to 5,300 pounds.

XLT

Second, there’s the XLT trim, which comes with a slew of cutting-edge technologies. The SecuriCode™ invisible keypad, which can be used for keyless entry, adds a new layer of security.  For off-road adventures, the Terrain Management System™, a seven-drive mode controller, is available.

Explorer Limited

This trim level includes Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+, which adds the following safety technology to the previous trim level to give you greater situational awareness while parking: Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers, Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System, and Evasive Steering Assist.

ST

If you’re a true performance fanatic, the Ford Explorer ST trim is the way to go. This is because this trim adds a standard 3.0L EcoBoost® V6 engine to your car. This engine produces 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, allowing it to haul up to 5,600 pounds. That’s plenty of muscle.

Platinum

This trim comes standard with Tri-Diamond perforated leather seating surfaces with accent stitching. This interior trim is a pleasure for the eyes and your back, thanks to its silky texture and luxury design. Genuine Ash Swirl wood-trimmed instrument panel and door-trim appliques complete this high-end design. This trim also allows you to add two more speakers to your B&O™ Sound System from Bang & Olufsen, bringing the total number of speakers to 14. This will enhance the depth of your audio even further. The twin-panel moonroof lets some light in when you’re stuck on the highway.
