Cars.com leveled significant praise at several aspects of the 2017 Ford Escape. First on the list was the new Snyc 3 infotainment system. Cars.com praised the system’s “clean-looking and easy to use” display along with the “ease of smartphone integration.”

More than just the Escape’s technology features received praise. Several other interior aspects of the Escape were highlighted. The Cars.com judges enjoyed the quiet, comfortable ride offered by the Escape along with the added storage spaces offered on the newest version of the crossover.
2017 Ford Escape Engine Options
Very few crossovers can match the versatility of the new Ford Escape. All of this begins under the hood. 2017 models offer three total engine options. Base models come equipped with a 168-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that offers fuel economy estimates checking in at 21 city/29 highway miles per gallon.
Like almost all models in the Ford lineup, the new Escape offers a turbocharged EcoBoost engine that helps maximize the crossover’s fuel economy. When equipped with the available 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo, the Escape maxes out its fuel economy at 23 city/30 highway miles per gallon. The best power ratings on the 2017 Escape come with the final engine offered, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 179 horsepower.
