2021 Ford F-150 Trailer Theft Alert Instructions
New this year, the Trailer Theft Alert feature on the redesigned Ford F-150 can alert owners to potential trailer theft through their smartphones as part of the truck’s security system. This guide covers how to set up your 2021 Ford F-150 to send Trailer Theft Alerts to your smartphone via the FordPass™ app.
To receive Trailer Theft Alerts on your mobile phone, you’ll need to download the FordPass™ app, enable notifications, and connect your vehicle.
The Trailer Connection Alarm and Trailer Theft Alert features will automatically set whenever:
- Your vehicle detects the trailer.
- Your vehicle is locked.
- The anti-theft alarm is armed.
When the trailer is disconnected in this state, the vehicle alarm sounds and an alert is sent to your FordPass™ app.
