2017 Ford Escape interior storage space
2017 Ford Escape models have already found their way into many dealership inventories. Ford’s best-selling crossover has been updated and refreshed for the new model year. In addition to two new engines and several new safety technologies, the interior of the 2017 Escape has been revised as well. The 2017 Ford Escape interior storage space has never been greater.
2017 Ford Escape interior updates
For the 2017 model year, Ford has replaced the manual parking brake on the Escape with an electric model. Ford has also taken the gear shifter and moved it back farther on the center console. This helps to increase storage space and elbow room. Overall, the new crossover offers 25 percent more front row storage space than previous models. Moving the shifter backwards also places the driver’s right arm in a more comfortable position.
The space vacated by the gear shifter and parking brake has been filled by two storage bins. The bins have been designed to provide ideal storage for everyday times, such as wallets, keys, cell phones and sunglasses. The cupholders on the 2017 Escape have been revamped as well. Newly designed, the cupholders can accommodate a wide variety of bottle and cup sizes.
2017 Ford Escape Charging ports
Keeping everything charged will not be a problem on the 2017 Ford Escape. The center console offers two USB ports, one in the front storage area and one in the main center bin. Joining the former is a 12-volt power outlet. The USB ports also provide connectivity to the Escape’s Sync 3 infotainment system.
