2017 Ford Explorer XLT Sport Appearance Package Release Date

This package will go on sale this summer when the 2017 Ford Explorer reaches dealerships. Considered a sixth trim for the popular Ford Explorer full-size SUV, the XLT Sport Appearance Package will add multiple visual accents to standard XLT equipment. These features include a Magnetic Gray grille, mirror caps, rear applique, and 20-inch wheels, as well as Ebony Black body side cladding and a Black roof rack.

Interior changes will be focused on the seating style. The front seats will be Dark Earth Gray leather with premium Salerno leather outer bolsters. The rear seats will be Miko suede, also in Dark Earth Gray. Umber scrim, door trim inserts, and contrast stitching will be throughout the cabin.

An Explorer hood badge and logoed floor mats will complete the specialty features of 2017 Ford Explorere XLT Sport Appearance Package. The vehicle will also carry power, comfort and convenience features standard to Explorer XLT trim, such as the 3.5-liter V6 engine, the SYNC 3 infotainment system, LED fog lights, 10-way powered driver’s seating with lumbar support, and Intelligent Access with a push-button start.
