Ford CMax Focus Escape recall 2015
Now, we’re not writing this post to scare you, but we truly do value and care about our customers and we want to be straightforward with all information so you can have the best, safest driving experience available in all of the vehicles we sell here at Akins Ford Chrysler Jeep Ram.
Just this week, we learned about a Ford CMax Focus Escape recall 2015 that affects about 433,000 new models.
Certain models are being recalled for a safety compliance issue that has to do with turning the engine off, but to this date there are no injuries Ford is aware of that are due to the issue. In the 2015 Ford Focus, C-MAX and Escape, some drivers have noticed that the vehicle continues to run even after turning the ignition to off and removing the key, or after pressing the engine start/stop button.
You will receive an official notification from Ford if your vehicle is one that is affected, but if you are worried in the slightest or are curious, you can bring your vehicle into Akins Ford and we will see what we can do to check if your vehicle is one of the 374,781 in the U.S. that are part of the recall. Those being recalled were manufactured in Michigan and Louisville.
Luckily, it is somewhat of an easy fix and if your vehicle is affected you can bring it into the service department at Akins Ford and we will fix the issue for free. Yes, you read that right, for free. Just give us a call or stop in at any time to set up an appointment and we will get you in as soon as possible.
The good thing to note about a recall is that even though it can be a little scary thinking that there is something wrong with your vehicle, it means that Ford is looking out for all drivers all the time; same with our service technicians. We work hard to make sure your vehicle is as safe as possible, no matter what. Our service technicians are trained to handle anything, no matter what.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to give us a call anytime!
