Powertrain Options and Features of the 2018 Ford F-150
Ever since the first Ford F-150 model was created, the lineup has crafted a tradition of being the most powerful, most rugged, most dependable and most reliable pickup truck available each and every model year. And that’s never been more accurate than when looking at the new Ford F-150 lineup. That’s because the 2018 Ford F-150 lineup improves upon the 2017 F-150 lineup in every conceivable way – from better gas mileage to more power and more capability. That improvement even includes an all-new 2018 Ford F-150 Diesel model. New Ford F-150 Horsepower and Torque Ratings
The new Ford F-150 lineup offers more engine choices than ever before, with five gasoline engines to choose from along with an all-new 3.0-Liter Power Stroke V6 Turbo Diesel Engine coming this spring. Though the horsepower and torque ratings aren’t out yet for that engine, we can get them for the other five engines. The 3.3-liter PFDI V6 engine provides 290 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque, the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine provides 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, the 5.0-liter PFDI V8 engine provides 395 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine provides 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque and the 3.5-liter high-output EcoBoost engine can pump out an unheard of 450 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. Each of these engines can be paired with a segment-first 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
